Dear TJJ JSU Parents,
Today was an exciting day as we prepared to welcome our first Shabbat together in Israel.
After beginning the day with tefillah workshops and breakfast, we headed to Kfar Blum, where students enjoyed an exciting kayaking trip along the Jordan River. It was a great opportunity to experience the beauty of northern Israel while spending time together and enjoying one of the region’s most popular outdoor activities.
Following a delicious falafel lunch, we spent the afternoon shopping and making our final preparations for Shabbat. Students had the chance to pick up everything they needed while soaking in the atmosphere as communities throughout Israel prepared for the arrival of Shabbat.
Returning to the hotel, everyone is settling in and getting ready to welcome Shabbat together. In the coming hours, we will gather for Kabbalat Shabbat, a festive Shabbat dinner, and an uplifting Oneg, beginning what we hope will be a meaningful and memorable first Shabbat as a group.
