Dear NCSY TJJ Lion Pride,

Today is the day we have been waiting for all summer YOM NCSY!!!

But before we enjoyed the biggest teen event in Israel, we started the day on the coast in the city of Netanya. We visited the Beit Elazraki children’s home. There we learned all about the functions of the home and the services they provide, we also had the chance to meet some of the children of the home. Our lions left with a new profound appreciation for what they have back in America. This experience truly impacted the group. On the way back we stopped in Givat Washington to explore the Machon Maayan gap year campus. The Gap year experience is something we highly endorse for the teens so that they prepare themselves to be successful for their futures.

Then… the highlight of the summer…….

YOM NCSY!!!!! The lions put on their shirts and marched into Latrun to represent TJJ in the biggest american teen festival in Israel! The event started off with a delicious BBQ and an opportunity to meet other teens from across America and Canada. Along with 2,500 other american teens and guests, we danced, sang, and celebrated into the night. Make sure to check our social media page to see some of the highlights of the evening!!!

We are exhausted!! We sent the teens up to rest for another big day tomorrow as we head south to explore the original capital of Israel in the region of Judea!
