The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey
Update from bus director

Dear parents,

I know that eveyone is genuinely concerned about the security situation and rightfully so. I’m not sending this email to reassure you because I can’t make any promises about what the next hour may bring.
This is what I can tell you:

As of now, TJJ is a go. We were anyway scheduled to be up north for the first 10 days of TJJ so we will be fine there.

We are in constant contact with the security forces in Israel. We will only go where they deem it to be safe. If it is not safe anywhere, we will be on the next available flight out.

I have spoken with our staff that is already in Israel and with staff from other programs that are in the north already. They all told me that you wouldn’t know that there was anything going on up there. It is all quiet and the kids are having a blast. You can check out their blogs and pictures by going to their program websites. Go to www.ncsysummer.com and then select GIVE, TJJ Ambassadors, BILT or Kollel.

I spoke with our tour guide, Ariel Pulver. We discussed what would happen if we were forced to be in the north the entire month and he was very confident we can give the kids the time of their lives. It wouldn’t be Jerusalem but they will still have a great time, similar to going to camp.

Please do not hesitate to call me on my cell at 647 891 6279. My goal is not to convince you to send your child but to ensure that you’re making an informed decision about the situation. I know that the kids have been messaging each other on facebook and alot of rumours have been going around. Please feel free for you or your child to reach out to me to discuss this further.

Take care

Avi
