Dear NCSY TJJ Lion Pride,
We just ended a beautiful Shabbat here at the Ein Gedi guest house. We heard inspirational words from our teens while learning about the Jewish nation from our advisors. Although the heat was a little intense we enjoyed singing shabbat away infront of the beautiful sunset( thankfully in an Air conditioned room). We are looking forward to going down south tomorrow to enjoy a fun filled day of water activities.
In other very unfortunate news, Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and families of the horrific terrorist attack that was perpetrated this Shabbat in Halamish in the Binyamin Region of the West Bank. Thankfully, our bus was nowhere near this attack and this area of the country is not on the TJJ itinerary.
Our bus continues to be in constant contact with Moked Teva, the premier safety and security agency in Israel. Our bus receives real time security updates and is prepared to change the itinerary at a moments notice if Moked Teva instructs us to do so.
