Dear JSU TJJ Parents,
It’s hard to believe that our incredible journey is coming to an end. In just three days, we’ll be boarding a flight back to America. This past month has been nothing short of amazing, with 40 teens from around the world coming together to do something special and impactful for themselves and the Jewish people in the land of Israel.
These last two days have been particularly meaningful. We’ve been working hard volunteering for soldiers, cooking over 1,000 meals for Shabbat. We also had the privilege of visiting our ancestral mother, Rachel, at Kever Rachel, to pray for the success of the Jewish people as we approach the day of rest.
As we reflect on all we accomplished this week, we look forward to our last Shabbat in Jerusalem. Tonight, at the Kotel, we’ll bond, connect, and reflect, carrying the energy back to America and our communities. While this may be our last Shabbat together in Israel, it certainly won’t be our last Shabbat together.
Once again, we want to thank you, the parents, for your tireless dedication to your teens’ growth and development. This experience wouldn’t be possible without you. From our family to yours, we wish you a Shabbat Shalom from The TJJ Southern Lions in Jerusalem.
