Hello TJJ JSU Parents,
We had an exhilarating day on the Kinneret! We began our day at AquaKef, Israel’s only floating water park, located on the Kinneret. We then headed to the boardwalk in Tiberias, where everyone had some free time to relax, explore, and enjoy their burgers while overlooking the sea. Following lunch, we traveled to the tomb of Rabbi Akiva, one of the most famous Rabbis from mishnaic times. Our teens learned about the hard work and perseverance of this great man who impacted greatly on the Jewish people despite having started to learn about Judaism for the first time at age forty! We returned to the coast, where our Lions enjoyed beautiful views of the Kinneret, and live music on a boat cruise. Following the cruise we walked to a special South American grillhouse for a delicious barbecued dinner. What a day! Wishing you all a good night.
