The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey
Our last full day!

Hello TJJ JSU Parents,

We got amazing insights into the heroism of our IDF soldiers today! The lions learned about the tremendous courage of the soldiers of Gush Etzion during the War of Independence. They experienced a moving light and sound show telling the story of these brave settlers and heroic fighters, and were able to see the bunker where the final few of these soldiers fell. This thrilling and impactful day ended with a return to Jerusalem, showing the teens just how tremendous the self-sacrifice of these soldiers was. We grabbed a savoury bite to eat, burgers for lunch and then we were on armored buses headed to Hebron! We toured the streets our forefather Abraham once walked and visited the sites of King David’s first capital city. Our Lions connected tremendously to their ancestors and the past at Ma’arat HaMachpela, the resting place of Adam, Eve, Abraham, Sarah, Issac, Rivka, Jacob, and Leah. We left feeling incredibly united to one another and to the entire Jewish nation (past and present) as we returned to Jerusalem for the final event of the Summer. We rolled into NCSY’s day of unity and joined hundreds of other teens from across the States and Canada. It was a fun filled night of singing, dancing and of course a beautiful display of unity. What a way to finish our last full day of the summer! Wishing you all a good night.
