Hello TJJ JSU Parents,
We are lucky to have spent a full day exploring all Jerusalem has to offer! We started off in the historic City of David, built around 2,000 years ago by King David himself. Our Lions splashed around Hizkiyahu’s water tunnels, built to help irrigate the hills surrounding the Temple Mount. After coming out of the tight tunnels, we made our way into the Old City, where the teens had some free time to shop, eat, and explore the enchanting alleyways of the Jewish Quarter. We reconvened for a unique opportunity to participate in the AIsh HaTorah Discovery Seminar, the world’s best Crash Course on Judaism, and our teens were able to hear from renowned educators! We went down to the Kotel Plaza for round two of tunnels, but this time, we did the Kotel Tunnel Tours and saw the impressive architecture and infrastructure of the Temple era that is now a few stories beneath the ground! What an amazing day in Yerushalayim, and we can’t wait for tomorrow!
