The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey
Let the adventures begin!

Hello TJJ JSU Parents,

We are starting up again after a restful and meaningful Shabbat! We started off with a trip to Snir to hike through the Hasbani river all together, splashing each other endlessly along the way. The buses then separated, with the first bus making its way to the stunning Beriyah Forest. Our Lions faced their fears and rappelled down a 60 feet cliff overlooking Amukah, Mount Hermon, and the gorgeous scenery of the Galil. The other bus visited the town of Malkia and got to see our neighbors to the north: Lebanon. They learned about Israel’s complex relationship with Lebanon and about the threats Hezbollah poses today. Afterwards, the buses swapped destinations and then reconvened in the hotel at night.

Yeshivat TJJ visited the gravesite of the great sage Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. It was a meaningful and moving experience. We then traveled to Tel Saki for some special forces IDF training in a bunker on the Syrian boarder.

What a start to the week! Have a good night!

Rabbi Avi Warman
