The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey
Last Shabbat in Jerusalem!

Hello TJJ JSU Parents,

We had a beautiful day, starting with a trip to Masada, one of the most famous fortresses in Israel, built around 30 CE. The teens learned about the mass suicide of 960 Jews who were hiding there during the Roman-Jewish War around that era. We discussed the social and moral ramifications of their actions while learning about life up on the mountaintop at the time and overlooking beautiful vistas of the Dead Sea. We returned to Jerusalem and spent the afternoon shopping, relaxing, and eating at the bustling Mahane Yehuda Market. Then we checked in at the Jerusalem Gold hotel to get ready for our final Shabbat. Looking forward to a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel, dinner in the Old City, and oneg at Aish HaTorah tonight, as well as a full Shabbat schedule tomorrow! Shabbat Shalom!

Rabbi Avi Warman
