The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey
Getting ready for our second Shabbat!

Dear JSU TJJ Parents,

What an incredible week it’s been, and we’re finishing strong today! We started our day in the ancient city of King David, where we explored the capital of Israel from thousands of years ago. We then took a stroll through the Chizkiyahu Water Tunnels, which played a crucial role in saving the Jewish people from the Assyrian siege thousands of years ago.

Afterward, we made our way to the world-famous Shuk in Jerusalem, where we experienced a true taste of Israeli culture. We purchased all the essentials we needed for Shabbat and then headed to the hotel.

As I always say, “A week on TJJ can feel like a day, and a day can feel like a week.” But when Shabbat arrives, everything comes to a halt. It’s our time to stop running around and simply be together as a family here in the holy city of Jerusalem.

As we head into Shabbat, I want to express my gratitude to you, the parents, for supporting your child’s journey to Israel at this crucial time. Your trust in us is a privilege, and we’re honored to be a part of their growth.

Wishing you and your family a peaceful Shabbat Shalom.

With gratitude,
Rabbi Avi Warman
