Dear Parents,
What an amazing final week at TJJ lions.
After a relaxing free weekend, we jumped right back into action and adventure on Sunday, by sleeping in Bedouin tents. What an experience and what an amazing night sky out in the desert. On Monday, we conquered Masada and relaxed by the Dead Sea, the lowest (and saltiest) place on earth. Tuesday was next level fun. Glass bottom party boat and snorkeling allowed us to have a blast and see the amazing sea life in Eilat. Did we slow down on Wednesday? Nope! Wednesday morningwas an early wake up to catch sunrise on top of mt tzfachot! Truly magnificent! Thursday was a bit more serious, as we visited kfar etzion, a place where many fought and lost their lives in 1948, defending jerusalem. We stood in an actual bunker and sang a song to all our Jewish brothers and sisters who are in pain. Friday was jam packed as well. We saw the sites of where all the forefathers and mothers are buried. A truly emotional experience as we explored the past present and future of the Jewish people. We ended Friday with a true Israeli marketplace experience at the Machane Yehuda shuk! Looking forward to an amazing final Shabbat here in Jerusalem, and seeing you all so soon. I can’t believe this journey is almost over!
