Dear Parents,
After an inspiring day at Yad Vashem and Mt. Herzl we took the kids to Masada. Because of the emotional maturity of the kids and the impact TJJ has had on them, we felt that they should hike Masada and conquer the mountain. The message Ariel gave them was that even though Masada fell to the Romans 2000 years ago, Jewish teens in 2015 are hiking Masada and the Romans have been relegated to the dust bins of history.
The day continued with some relaxing time on the beach at the Dead Sea after a difficult hike. Our day ended with some shopping and dinner at Malcha Mall in Jerusalem.
I hope everyone is enjoying the free weekend and we look forward to getting back together as Bus 1 tomorrow morning. As a reminder, drop off in Tel Aviv is at 8 am at Alazarov train station and in Jerusalem at 9:45 am in the Mt. Herzl parking lot.
Shavua tov,
Avi
