Dear Parents,
Sunday provided us with a unique experience at the Bedouin tents. Before making our way south we stopped at one of the most important places in Israel (in my opinion), the Ben & Jerry’s factory! We got to buy some delicious kosher ice cream before things heated up with our visit to the Negev desert. We spent the evening in Bedouin tents and we had a mediation session in the desert followed by a bonfire. It was an incredible experience to be able to be out in the desert and enjoy the incredible landscape of the stars without any light around.
The next morning we went to breakfast in style, riding on camels. After breakfast we went to do a beautiful hike in the rugged terrain of the Negev desert. During this hike we learned a little bit about wilderness survival and we learn which plants one can eat and suck on for nutrition while in the desert. I have to admit that some of plants were quite tasty.
Before we got to Eilat we stopped at Yotvatah, the home of Shoko B’sakit. Some say they make the best ice cream in Israel (Snickers flavoured ice cream is pretty good). Our day ended with our arrival in Eilat followed by dinner at Cafe Cafe in the Ice Mall in Eilat.
Have a great day!
Avi
