Hello TJJ JSU Parents,
We are ecstatic to be back together again after a Shabbat apart! After picking up our Lions in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, we grabbed a bite of pizza to eat. Then, we traveled to Bethlehem for the highlight of the day: a visit to the grave of our foremother, Rachel. We explained her significance as both a Biblical matriarch as well as the emblem of yearning for the return of the Jews to their homeland. We wrapped up the day with a presentation from StandWithUs which is one of the biggest Israel advocacy organizations, and it teaches teens to advocate for the State of Israel and fight against anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism in a variety of ways. Our Lions left empowered and equipped with the tools they need to stand up for their nation and their homeland! We checked in to a new hotel feeling connected, inspired, and grateful.
