Dear JSU TJJ Parents,

It is hard to believe that the last Shabbat of the program is already here.

Our last Friday began by exploring the ancient City of King David where the teens connected with the roots of King David’s kingdom. Walking through this historical site, we reflected on stories that have shaped our people for thousands of years and marveled at the layers of history beneath our feet. We then headed to the bustling Machane Yehuda (the famous “shuk”) in Jerusalem. The marketplace was alive with colors, aromas, and sounds as the teens shopped for Shabbat items making the most of this vibrant Jerusalem experience.

As we approach the close of an incredible journey together, we reflect on the moments that will last a lifetime. We are filled with pride at how much everyone has experienced and learned. The bonds formed, the memories made, and the discovery of personal and collective identity are truly remarkable. The message to the teens; let’s leave nothing on the table!
