The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey

Hello TJJ JSU Parents,

Our busy day began in the stunning Yehudiya Forest nature reserve, where we hiked and climbed the Zavitan and got breathtaking views of the small swimming holes and giant waterfalls. We stopped at the base of the waterfall for a refreshing swim and gorgeous sights! Drying off as we hiked back, we got on the bus and traveled to Katzrin, a town of Talmudic times that was destroyed over 1,500 years ago in an Earthquake. Our Lions got to experience what Jewish life in Israel was like two millennia ago as they were surrounded by ancient archeological ruins. As well as visit Mount Bental, a panoramic view of Syria and the site of a courageous battle fought during Israel’s war for the Golan.

As for our Yeshivat TJJ bus, we began our adventure exercising our leadership skill’s on one of Israel’s exciting paintball courses. Our teens all had the opportunity to flex their courage and learn how to work as a team. Next we had a change to rappel down the very same mountain that our TJJ lion’s conquered yesterday. It was quite the experience! Looking forward to another amazing day!
