When I awoke this morning I asked myself why? What’s the point of waking up at 3 am just to hike a mountain called Masada with a history that I already felt familiar with? Well when we finally got there and climbed the extremly long and tiring steps, Ariel our tour guide, began to tell us the story of how 974 Jewish men women and children were surrounded by 25000 elite roman soldiers. I’m not going to ruin the story, but later that day we went to the Dead Sea. It was my first time there and the feeling I felt I have never felt before, extreme amounts of burning. After that day we went to one of the most beautiful and fresh waterfalls in Israel, ein geti. It was a little cramped with all the other groups there but we still made it an awesome time. Lastly we went to Ben yehuda and we all participated in a game called bigger and better. The point of the game is we all start with just a paper clip and slowly trade and sell to eventually get a huge prize. Excitingly I won the game and at the end I ended up with a kippah and beautiful bracelet and 60 shekels. Today was A very fun and balanced day with the hiking and relaxing and I’m happy that I chose to come on this trip.we ended the day by having a kumzitz, singing in a circle with guitars and bongos.
