Yesterday was one of the most exciting, action packed day yet. It started off with a splash in the sea in the city of Ashdod where everyone enjoyed crashing into the large waves, or getting on that nice to tan to show off back in T.O. Later that day we visited what some people call even better then heaven, the Ben and Jerry’s factory. Buckets and buckets of ice cream were devoured in an instant resulting in a big smile on everyone’s faces. But, suddenly those smiles disappeared when the girls were “kidnapped” by the terrorists, a.k.a the advisors. It was up to the boys to cross the treacherous terrain in the dessert by foot towards the site of abduction and free the girls, for which they did in heroic fashion with ease. (Don’t worry parents it was only a game) Then, it was time to relax after a long day full of adventures, so we were off to the Bedouin tents to spend the night in the middle of the Negev dessert. While there we experienced a serene moment. We were led a distance out into the dessert at night and given time to reflect on who we are as people, our purpose in life and connection to G-d, while looking out at the vast wilderness in complete silence. Each of us experienced this moment in our own personal way, and took away a new perspective on life. Finally it was time to hit the hay, or should I say hit the floor, as we slept in real Bedouin tents without the 5 start hotel luxuries we are usually accustomed to. This day was definitely one of the better days yet, and there is still many more exciting adventures to come!
