Today was the 17th of Tammuz commemorating the start of the siege on Jerusalem, which eventually led to the destruction of the temple.  The 17th of Tammuz is considered a minor fast, a fast ranging from sundown to sunset.

Because we were fasting (we let each participant choose if they wanted to fast or not) we had a very relaxed day. We started off the day traveling to a very special Israel city named Misgav Am. Misgav Am lies on the border of Israel and Lebanon and a member of the community taught us the history of the area.

We then traveled to the Naot Factory where they sell the special Naot shoes at a factory price.
