Today was Tel-Aviv day! We spent the day learning about how Israel became a country in 1948.
We visited Independence Hall the exact place where David Ben-Gurion read out loud for the first time the declaration of the new Jewish state.
We then walked to the famous Carmel Shuk where we had some time to shop (expect gifts!).
We then went to Rabin Square the place where Yitzchak Rabin, the Prime Minister of Israel was assassinated in 1995. Talking to locals showed us exactly how the assassination threw the country into controversy.
