What a day we had today! Starting with a wake up at the early hour of 1:30 am, we boarded the bus and made our way to Masada. Upon arrival, we made it in time to watch the sun rise and then it was time to start the hike up. Despite the steep hill and the many, many stairs we all made it up to the top! On Masada we learned the story of the brave Jews that lived on this mountain top and how they persevered against the Romans. We all felt inspired and felt as though we were taken back in time fighting alongside the Jews that lived there thousands of years ago. After Masada we headed over to the Dead Sea where we had the opportunity to relax on the beach and float in the water, which was well deserved after our exhausting morning. After leaving the Dead Sea we returned to Ramot Shapira and got to relax for a bit.  Then we headed into Jerusalem, to Malcha Mall, to enjoy some shopping and dinner. Overall it was an amazing and inspiring day and we are all looking forward to enjoying this Shabbat with family and friends.
