Our morning started off with a great hike in Gamla where we learned about the Roman general Vespasian and his history with the Jewish people. We say the ancient Roman ruins and stood inside an old synagogue while we learned about the relevance of its strcuture. After our hike, we headed to our next stop–white water rafting. Some of us had our fun by cruising down the river with friends or, some of us jumped out of our rafts in the attempt to tip over other boats…! It was such a great day, the Golan has been amazing so far!
