Day 3! It’s hot out side and we are shvitzing!

After a long day at the Grand Canyon, we got to sleep in!… Until 6:30. However, everyone did not mind because they knew it would be the start of another fantastic day on TJJ. We had an outdoor breakfast which included cereal, yogurt, muffins and cake followed by learning with our advisors. A fun-filled, musical 45 minute scenic bus drive took us to Salt Water Tubing. It was well worth the drive as we floated while relaxing and having fun during the 2 hour lazy river/rapid water route. The water was nice and warm, and the rapids were thrilling, it was refreshing to cool down from the 43 degree weather. Immediately after exiting the water, we were treated to a typical, yummy NCSY meal of falafel, pita, salad, chips and pasta. The next drive took us to heaven on earth, almost literally. We got to see the inner workings of the famous Cold Stone Creamery head offices. We were split up into groups to explore. The groups rotated through a series of activities throughout the main head quarters. The stations were so fun! We had the opportunity of seeing how the ice cream is made, making our own bowl of ice cream with what ever we wanted in it,blind fold taste testing some fun and interesting flavours, making cookie ice cream sandwiches and cake pops. We would like to thank the Serruya family for giving us this “sweet” opportunity, It was a perfect touch on the day, especially with the weather being so hot. Little did we know the fun was not over yet. a surprise meat dinner was prepared as a staff member had completed a set of mishnayos. Following all the eating today we watched a good old ball game. Where the home team Arizona Diamond backs won 7-4 over the Pittsburg pirates. Now off to bed for an early wake up for LA tomorrow.
