Today’s wake up was like none other… It all started at 3:45 A.M., when myself, alongside three other roommates, packed our bags and began with the day ahead! Mount Tzfachot is said to be one of the most beautiful, and breathtaking hikes in all of Israel; let’s just say I didn’t leave that piece of land disappointed! The trek up and around the mountain felt as if I were walking anywhere in the world, but reaching the very top made me feel something that I’d been waiting for, I felt proud to be who I was born as, who I was meant to be… A Jew! Standing so high gives one the perfect perspective, as well as a better understanding about Israel as a country, and its not so nice neighbors! That specific hike was followed by the Biblical Museum of Natural History. Inside we learned extremely interesting things about multiple different species of animals and their connection towards Judaism! After all that, we got a one-on-one opportunity to hold and personally connect with the animals of our choice. There were just so many to choose from! I first held a tiny dwarf hamster which was only a few months old. I also got the chance to touch baby ducklings, turtles, and Guinea pigs. Overall, my experience on TJJ 2016 has been an unforgettable one. Making new friends for a lifetime and touring the country us Jews call home. No matter what!
