Sunday July 10th, 2016 Israel

It was 6:45 am when I heard a loud knocking on my door. I slowly got up and opened the door to see a holy man by the name of Tzvi Tabakman at my door. I packed all my luggage, prayed, and ate breakfast. As I made my way to pack the bus, I slowly took a tour of the hotel and said goodbye to the lovely balcony view, and to the unbelievable and unforgettable memories made at the hotel. The emotions, the actions, and just being at that hotel were incredible. I’ve grown so much from the time spent there. It was now time to get on the bus and drive to Rosh Hanikra to visit the caves. I walked in and my mind was blown! It was extraordinary! The way the tunnels were made and the story behind them were truly breathtaking.

The walk through the cave was unforgettable and soon after, we made our way to Kibbutz Matzuva for lunch. We had an incredible lunch, which was unlimited pizza! We were allowed as many slices as we wanted!!
Once lunch was finished, we made our way to our second to last destination, which was the Acco Prison. As I walked into the prison, I was astonished. I’ve never been inside of a jail before, especially a jail that had a lot of history behind it. I had a video in my head playing as Tamar, the tour guide, was explaining that we only had 10 minutes to talk to our loved ones with a fence holding you back. It was very frightening, and I would never want to imagine myself in that situation. Once I left the jail I felt free. Even though I had only been in that jail for a couple of hours, I felt the energy that the jail had and the impact it had on the people. We ended off the day with a long bus ride to the Galon Kibbutz where we ate dinner, and got ready for bed to be rested for another great day!
