Hi,
My name is Nikki Caplan and today our amazing bus took us on an unforgettable adventure to the borders of Syria and Lebanon. Standing on the ledge looking down on the entire city was truly breathtaking and an experience I’ll never forget. I was truly astonished of the sights I was able to see and the stuff we spoke about. From there we walked to a kibbutz, where we got to listen to soldiers speak of the things they experience throughout their training. One moment that stood out and truly touched my heart was when someone asked the soldier how much longer he had left in his service. He answered …4 months. It wasn’t so much the answer, but the smile that he had on his face when he said it. As we know, soldiers don’t tend to show so much affection. In this case, though, when he smiled and showed how excited he was to be going home to his family, it truly touched my heart. Today was an amazing day and I can’t wait to create more memories like this one over the summer. I know that this summer will truly be the Best.Summer.Ever!
