NCSY TJJ Bus 1 Day 19

Today was an extremely amazing and educational day. We spent the morning picking onions for an organization called Leket. Leket gets volunteers to pick vegetables for the poor. We picked 2 tons of onions which will feed over 800 families this week.

Next we went to Invitation for Silence, the Deaf museum. For an hour we didn’t speak and only communicated through body language being guided by a deaf person the entire time.

After that we visited the Ayalon institute, also known as the bullet factory. This factory made bullets to be used in the 1948 war of independence ensuring we wouldn’t run out of ammunition.
