Hi family and friends of bus 1!

Today was a very water-filled day. We woke up pretty early- 7am- and by 8:15 we were on our way to Kibbutz Misgav Am. This Kibbutz is really unique because it’s the second most northern point in Israel, besides Metula. From the top of the mountain, you can see the Medeteranian, Lebanon, Syria, Hermon, AND the Galil! We met a charming 75-year old kibbutznik named Aryeh Ben- Yaakov, who gave us a charming, Zionist explanation of life on the edge of Israel. After a short bathroom and ice cream break, we were off to the Hatsbani River, where we hiked through the water. The river was ice cold, and at some points the water was to our waists! I particularly loved all the twisted roots and trees- the river area was really beautiful. After a short walk back to our bus, we drove to Kfar Blum, where we Kayaked down the Jordan! Although the rules said we shouldn’t enter the water- nobody got out dry! The calm Jordan was a great way to relax on such a hot day. At the end of the route, we got dressed and headed back to our hotel in Hitzpin. Tonight, curfew is at 10:30, because wake up tomorrow is at 5:15! We’re in for a full day tomorrow. After such a great day today, I can’t wait to see what’s next!
