We tackled today with a late wake up…finally! Following a delicious breakfast at Jerusalem’s finest establishment, MMY, we began our annual Shabbat chaburahs. Our groups spoke about the controversial topic of the “Chosen People”, this opened up a wide variety of different values and opinions. We have to say the debates between our peers were quite entertaining. After an enjoyable lunch, which included our favorite dish,chulent, we were given 2 and a half hours to relax and bond with all of the amazing and unique people on our bus! We then headed to a local synagogue a few blocks down to pray Mincha. We later had a light seudah shlisheat with some very special guests, Rabbi Irons and his family, which was followed with a beautiful havdalah and some fun filled games. From ordering pizza at 10:45 pm to getting ready for a very early morning wake up at 3:00 am, we all had such an amazing last Shabbat, of which we will never forget, on our amazing summer with TJJ.
